Sunrise Book/Sunset Book contains two books in one volume. The book's pages gradiate from 100% black to 100% white over fifty spreads in a halftone pattern that lightens at a 2% interval. The book is meant to be read one way, turned upside-down, read the other way, turned upside-down again, and repeated for as long as the reader wishes.

Sunrise Book/Sunset Book's pages were printed by Chicago's Mission Press on Hammermill Color Copy 60# Cover. The cover stock is Mohawk Via Vellum 80# Cover. Hardcover copies are available in the website's store.

I worked with the generative artist Jonathan McCabe to publish a book of his images based on an algorithm called Flowpi. The algorithm's title is a combination of a "flow" and a pattern forming system named after the pomacanthus imperator fish. The book contains thirty-one new compositions. For more of Jonathan's work, please refer to his Flickr account.

The book's pages were printed by Sunrise Digital on Indigo Text 80# paper. The cover was photocopied on Finch Fine Opaque Bright White 80# paper. Paperback, stapled copies are available in the website's store.

La Martona's Yogurt is a "semi-scientific, semi-commercial pamphlet about yogurt." The work marks the first collaboration between the legendary Argentine authors Jorge Luis Borges and Adolfo Bioy Casares. Brandon Wilner translated the 1935 text into English, and we worked together to publish a pamphlet containing the English version alongside its original Spanish.

The pages were printed by Sunrise Digital on Indigo Text 80# paper. The cover was printed by Working-Knowledge on construction paper. Perfect-bound, paperback copies are available in the website's store.

We claim no rights to the original Spanish-language text. For that reason, we are giving this item away free of charge. We only ask that our customers pay for shipping costs.

Archive as Shrine is a series of nine illustrations about a civilization that keeps all of its cultural objects in a single, designated, public building. The book follows the last piece of art as it is added to the collection.

For this project, I asked Michael Savona to design the cover and titles.

The pages were Riso printed on Mohawk Via Vellum, 70# text by Working-Knowledge. The cover was thermographically printed on Classic Linen, Solar White, 130# cover stock by Letterpress Chicago. Paperback, linen-stitched copies are available in the website's store.

High-resolution versions of each illustration are available on Flickr.
